الْمُقْتَدِرُ Al-Muq’tadir = The Supreme Determiner
And present to them the example of the life of this world, like rain which We send down from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingles with it and [then] it becomes dry stalks, scattered by the winds. And Allah is over everything, Perfect in Ability. Al-Kahf 45
الْمُتَعَالِ Al-Mutaʿāli = The Transcendent, The Most Exalted
[He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Greatest, the Most Exalted. Ar-Ra’d 9
الْقَابِضُ Al-Qabiḍ = The One who restricts
الْبَاسِطُ Al-Bāsit = The One who stretches
Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and grants abundance, and to Him you will be returned. Al-Baqarah 245
الْجَلَالِ Al-Jalāl = The Majestic One
Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor. Ar-Rahman 78
ٱلْمُجِيبُ Al-Mujīb = The All Responsive
And when My servants ask you, [O Muḥammad], concerning Me – indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be guided to the right way. Hud 61
الْمُغْنِي Al-Mugh’ni = The One who enriches (from His bounty)
O believers! Indeed, the polytheists are unclean, so they should not approach the Sacred Mosque after this year. If you fear poverty, Allah will enrich you out of His bounty, if He wills. Surely, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. At-Tawbah 28
الفاطِرُ Al-Fatir = The Maker
المُقِيتُ Al-Muqit = The Supreme Nourisher
Say, “Is it other than Allah I should take as a Patron, Maker of the heavens and earth, while it is He who feeds and is not fed?” Say, [O Muḥammad], “Indeed, I have been commanded to be the first [among you] who submit [to Allah] and not be one of the polytheists.” Al-An’am 14
