And We had certainly given Musa nine clear signs, so ask the Children of Israil [about] when he came to them and Fir’awn said to him, “Indeed I think, O Musa, that you are afflicted by sih’r.” [Musa] said, “You have already known that none has sent down these [signs] except the Lord of the heavens and the earth as enlightenment, and indeed I think, O Fir’awn, that you are destroyed.” So he [Fir’awn] intended to drive them from the land, but We drowned him and those with him all together.
