And of the people is he who worships Allah on an the verge. If he is touched by good, he is reassured by it; but if he is struck by trial, he turns on his face [to disbelief]. He has lost [this] world and the Hereafter. That is what is the manifest loss.
Indeed, for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made pleasing to them their deeds, so they wander blindly. Those are the ones for whom there will be the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers.
Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned.
And it will be said to those who feared Allah, “What did your Lord send down?” They will say, “[That which is] good.” For those who do good in this world is good; and the home of the Hereafter is better. And how excellent is the home of the righteous.
But whoever desires the Hereafter and exerts the effort due to it while he is a believer – it is those whose effort is ever appreciated [by Allah]. To each We extend from the gift of your Lord. And never has the gift of your Lord been restricted. Look how We have favored [in provision]
Those whom the angels take their souls in death (being) pure, saying (to them),”Peace be upon you! Enter Paradise for what you used to do.”
And those who break the covenant of Allah after contracting it and sever that which Allah has ordered to be joined and spread corruption on earth – for them is the curse, and they will have an evil home. Allah extends and restricts provision for whom He wills. And they rejoice in the worldly life,
Allah keeps firm those who believe, with the firm word (of faith), in worldly life and in the Hereafter. And Allah sends astray the wrongdoers. And Allah does what He wills.
