And We sent, following in their footsteps, ‘Isa, the son of Maryam, confirming that which came before him in the Tawrat; and We gave him the Injeel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Tawrat as guidance and admonition for those who are pious [fearing Allah].
And recite to them the story of Adam’s two sons, in truth, when they both offered a sacrifice [to Allah], and it was accepted from one of them but was not accepted from the other. Said [the latter], “I will surely kill you.” Said [the former], “Indeed, Allah only accepts from those who are pious
And [mention, O Muḥammad], when Musa said to his people, “O my people, remember the favor of Allah upon you when He appointed among you prophets and made you possessors and gave you that which He had not given anyone among the worlds. O my people, enter the holy land which Allah has ordained for
They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allah is ‘Isa, the son of Maryam. Say, “Then who could prevent Allah at all if He had intended to destroy ‘Isa, the son of Maryam, or his mother or everyone on the earth?” And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever
O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your dīn or say about Allah except the truth. The Masih, ‘Isa, the son of Maryam, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He conveyed to Maryam and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not
And [We sent] messengers about whom We have related [their stories] to you before and messengers about whom We have not related to you. And Allah spoke to Musa with [direct] speech.
And [for] their saying, “Indeed, we have killed the Masih, ‘Isa, the son of Maryam, the messenger of Allah.” And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but it was made to appears so to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge
Indeed, We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], as We revealed to Nūḥ and the prophets after him. And we revealed to Ibrahim, Ishmael, Ishaq, Yaqub, the Descendants, ‘Isa, Ayyub, Yunus, Harun, and Sulayman, and to Dawud, We gave the Zaboor.
