[And remember] when the disciples said, “O ‘Isa , son of Maryam, is your Lord able to send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven?” [ ‘Isa ] said, “Fear Allah, if you should be mu’mineen.” They said, “We wish to eat from it to reassure our hearts be reassured and know that you have spoken the truth to us and be witnesses over it.” Said ‘Isa , son of Maryam,
Allahumma rabbana anzil ‘alayna ma-idatan mina assama-i takoonu lana ‘eedan li-awwalina waakhirina waayatan minka warzuqna waanta khayru ar raziqeen
“O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven a feast for us, for the first of us and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us, and You are the best of providers.”
Allah said, “Indeed, I will send it down to you, then whoever disbelieves after that from among you – then indeed will I punish him with a punishment by which I have not punished anyone among the worlds.”
