And those who settled in the home [al-Madīnah] and [accepted] faith from before them, they love those who emigrated to them and find not any want in their breasts of what they [the emigrants] were given, but give [them] preference over themselves, even though they are in poverty. And whoever is protected from the stinginess of his soul – it is those who will be the successful. And those who came after them say:
Rabbana ighfir lana wali-ikhwanina allatheena sabaqoona bil-eemani walataj’al fee quloobina ghillan lillatheena amanoo rabbana innaka raoofun raheem
“Our Lord! Forgive us, and our brethren who came before us into the Faith, and do not put in our hearts, rancour against those who have believed. Our Lord! You are indeed Full of Kindness, Most Merciful.”
