You are the best ummat ever raised for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah. If only the People of the Scripture had believed, it would have been better for them. Among them are the mu’minoon, but most of them are defiantly disobedient.
The bedouins say, “We have believed.” Say, “You have not [yet] believed; but say, ‘We have submitted,’ for faith has not yet entered your hearts. And if you obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not deprive you from your deeds of anything. Indeed, Allah is Oft Forgiving and Most Merciful.”
And We have [repeatedly] conveyed to them the word [of Allah] that they might be reminded. Those to whom We gave the Scripture before it (Qur’an), they do believe in it. When it is recited to them, they declare, “We believe in it. This is definitely the truth from our Lord. We had already submitted (even)
O you who have believed, bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good – that you may be successful. And strive for Allah with the striving due to Him. He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the dīn any difficulty. [It is] the millat of your father, Ibrahim. He
Say, “Indeed, my Lord has guided me to the straight path – a correct dīn – the millat of Ibrahim inclining toward truth. And he was not one of those who associated others with Allah.” Say, “Surely my salat, my rites of sacrifice, my life and death are all for Allah—Lord and Cherisher of all
Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “O People of the Scripture! Let us come to common terms: that we will worship none but Allah, associate none with Him, nor take one another as lords instead of Allah.” But if they turn away, then say, “Bear witness that we are muslims.”
