And thus We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’ān and We have diversified therein the warnings that perhaps they may fear or it may cause them remembrance. So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth. And, [O Muḥammad], do not hasten with [recitation of] the Qur’ān before its revelation is completed to you, and say, […]
[Allah said], “And what is that in your right hand, O Musa?” He said, “It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses.” [Allah] said, “Throw it down, O Musa .” So he threw it down, and behold, it was a snake,
[This is] a mention of the mercy of your Lord to His servant Zakariyya. When he called to his Lord privately. He said, Rabbi innee wahana al’athmuminnee washta’ala arra/su shayban walam akun bidu’a-ika rabbi shaqiyya “My Lord, indeed my bones have weakened, and white [hair] has filled my head, and never have I been in
And never say of anything, “Indeed, I will do that tomorrow,” except adding, “if Allah so wills!” But if you forget, then remember your Lord, and say, ‘asaan yahdiyani rabbee li-aqraba min hatha rashada “Perhaps my Lord will guide me to what is nearer than this to right conduct.”
Or have you thought that the companions of the cave and the inscription were, among Our signs, a wonder? [Mention] when the youths retreated to the cave and said, Rabbana atina min ladunka rahmatan wahayyi’ lana min amrina rashada “Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance.”
And [mention] Ayyoob, when he called to his Lord, annee massaniya addurru waanta arhamuarrahimeen “Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the most merciful of the merciful.” So We responded to him and removed what afflicted him of adversity. And We gave him [back] his family and the like thereof with them as mercy
Establish salat at the decline of the sun until the darkness of the night and the Qur’ān [recitation] of dawn. Indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed. And arise from sleep at night, for you to offer additional [salat] with it [recitation of the Qur’ān] it may be your Lord will raise you to a
Do not set up with Allah another deity and [thereby] become disgraced and forsaken. And your Lord has decreed that you worship not except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them a disrespectful word, and do not repel them but speak
