And establish salat at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night. Indeed, good deeds do away with evil deeds. That is a reminder for those who remember. And be patient, for indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good.
[Hūd] said, “O my people, there is not foolishness in me, but I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds. I convey to you the messages of my Lord, and I am to you a trustworthy advisor. Then do you wonder that there has come to you a reminder from your Lord through
[This is] a Scripture revealed to you, [O Muḥammad] – so let there not be in your breast distress therefrom – that you may warn thereby and as a reminder to the mu’mineen.
And when you have completed your rites, remember Allah like your [previous] remembrance of your fathers or with [much] greater remembrance. And among the people is he who says, “Our Lord, give us in this world,” and he will have in the Hereafter no share.
No! When the earth has been leveled – pounded and crushed, and your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank. And Hell, that Day, is brought (forth)- on that Day man will remember, but how will that remembrance [benefit] him?
We will make you recite, [O Muḥammad], so you will not forget, except what Allah wills. Indeed, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. And We will ease you toward ease. So remind, if the reminder should benefit. He who fears [Allah] will pay heed.
He [the Prophet (ﷺ) ] frowned and turned away, because there came to him the blind man. But what would make you perceive, [O Muḥammad], that perhaps he might be purified, or be reminded so the reminder would benefit him?
Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away. As if they were frightened donkeys, fleeing from a lion. Nay, every person among them desires that he would be given scrolls [of revelation] spread out. But no ! They do not fear the Hereafter. No! Indeed, it [the Qur’ān] is
