And We had already made a covenant with Adam before, but he forgot; and We found not in him determination. And [mention] when We said to the angels, “Prostrate to Adam,” and they prostrated, except Iblees; he refused. So We said, “O Adam, indeed this is an enemy to you and to your wife. Then […]
And We certainly tested Sulayman and placed on his throne a body; then he turned [in repentance]. He said, Rabbi ighfir lee wahab lee mulkan la yanbaghee li-ahadin min ba’dee innaka anta alwahhab “My Lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom such as will not belong to anyone after me. Indeed, You are the Bestower.”
And [mention] Lut, when he said to his people, “Indeed, you commit such immorality as no one who preceeded you from among the worlds has ever committed. Indeed, you approach men and obstruct the road and commit evil in your meetings.” And the answer of his people was not but that they said, “Bring us the
And [mention] the man of the fish [Yunus], when he went off in anger and thought that We would not decree [anything] upon him. And he called out within the darknesses, la ilaha illa anta subhanaka innee kuntu mina aththalimeen “There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.” So
And [mention] Ayyoob, when he called to his Lord, annee massaniya addurru waanta arhamuarrahimeen “Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the most merciful of the merciful.” So We responded to him and removed what afflicted him of adversity. And We gave him [back] his family and the like thereof with them as mercy
And We certainly gave Dawud from Us bounty. [We said], “O mountains, repeat [Our] praises with him, and the birds [as well].” And We made pliable for him iron, commanding him, “Make full coats of mail and measure [precisely] the links [of armor], and work [all of you] righteousness. Indeed I, of what you do,
And those who disbelieve say to those who believe, “Follow our way, and we will carry your sins.” But they will not carry anything of their sins. Indeed, they are liars. They will [be made to] carry their own burdens, and (others’) burdens along with their own, and on the Day of Resurrection they will be
Muḥammad is not the father of any of your men, but is the Messenger of Allah and the seal (last) of the prophets. And ever is Allah, of all things, Knowing.
