الْمَلِكُ Al-Malik = The King, The Sovereign
الْمُعِزُّ Al-Mu’izz = The One who gives honor
المُذِلُّ Al-Mudhill = The One who takes away honor
Say, “O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent. Ali ‘Imran 26
الْوَاسِعٌ Al-Wāsiʿ = The All Encompassing
To Allah belong the east and the west, so wherever you turn you are facing Allah. Surely Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing. Al-Baqarah 115
الرَّؤُوفُ Ar-Raūf = The Most Kind
الْقَادِرُ Al-Qādir = The All Competent, The All Powerful
Say, “Whether you conceal what is in your breasts or reveal it, Allah knows it. And He knows that which is in the heavens and that which is on the earth. And Allah is over all things competent. The Day every soul will be presented what it has done of good and what it has done of evil, it will wish that between itself and that [evil] was a great distance. And Allah warns you of Himself, and Allah is Most Kind to [His] servants.” Ali ‘Imran 29-30
الْخَالِقُ Al-Khalāq = The Creator
الرَّقِيبَ Ar-Raqīb = The Ever Watchful
O mankind! Fear your Lord, Who created you from a single soul, and from it He created its mate, and through both He spread countless men and women. And fear Allah—in Whose Name you appeal to one another—and the womb (kinship). Surely Allah is Ever Watchful over you. An-Nisa 1
عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ‘aza wajal = The Mighty and Sublime
It was narrated from Abu Saeed that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say:”There is no worshipper who fasts a day in the cause of Allah, the mighty and sublime, but Allah the mighty and sublime, will separate his face from the fire by (a distance of) seventy autumns in return for that day.” Sunan an-Nasa’i 2248
