Sunan Abu Dawud 2818

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas:
explaining the ayat : And indeed the devils inspire their friends so that they dispute with you (Al-An’am 121). They used to say: Do not eat which Allah killed, but eat which you slaughtered. So Allah revealed the ayat: “Eat not of (meats) on which Allah’s name has not been pronounced” to the end of the ayat (Al-An’am 121).
