And [mention] when Ibrahim was raising the foundations of the House and [with him] Ishmael, [saying],
Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka anta assamee’u al’aleem
Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed, You are the All Hearing, the All Knowing.
Rabbana waj’alna muslimayni laka wamin thurriyyatina ommatan muslimatan laka waarina manasikana watub’alayna innaka anta attawwabu arraheem
Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our descendants a Muslim ummat [in submission] to You. And show us our rites [of worship] and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Acceptor of Repentance, the Most Merciful.
Rabbana wab’ath feehim rasoolan minhum yatloo ‘alayhim ayatika wayu’allimuhumu alkitaba walhikmata wayuzakkeehim innaka anta al’azeezu alhakeem
Our Lord, and send among them a messenger from themselves who will recite to them Your ayat and teach them the Scripture and wisdom and purify them. Indeed, You are the Exalted in Might, the All Wise.”
