“Follow the best of what has been revealed to you from your Lord, before the punishment comes to you suddenly while you do not perceive. Lest a soul should say, ‘Oh my regret over what I neglected in regard to Allah and that I was surely among those who mocked.’ Or that it should say, ‘If only Allah had guided me, I would have certainly been one of the righteous.’ Or it should say, upon seeing the punishment, ‘If only I had a second chance, I would have been among the good-doers.’ Rather, verily My revelations had already come to you, but you rejected them and were arrogant, and were among the disbelievers.'”
